Taking the keys away from a loved one is challenging, however, equipping yourself with applicable medical and legal knowledge can make the conversation easier and the roads safer. Dr. Stemmler will discuss the neurological changes that impair driving and when to initiate that hard conversation with your loved one. Charles Backs will review the legal implications of driving once someone has a dementia diagnosis. A light dinner will be served.
