Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus

Presented By: Dr. Christina Stemmler

Monday, July 22nd 4:30-6:00PM

Join North Woods Village as we host Dr. Christina Stemmler who will present on Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH). NPH is a brain disorder in which excess cerebrospinal fluid accumulates in the brain’s ventricles, causing thinking and reasoning problems, difficulty walking, and loss of bladder control. Without appropriate diagnostic testing, NPH is often misdiagnosed as Alzheimer’s disease or Parkinson’s disease, or the symptoms are attributed to the aging process. NPH is one of the few causes of dementia that can be controlled or reversed with treatment. A light dinner will be served.
