Being in Their World: Understanding Person Centered Care
January 20 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Presented by: Patricia Piechocki, Manager of Programming and Continuing Education, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana
Humans love routines. Routines provide comfort, individuality, and a simpler way of life… because it’s OUR WAY. Persons living with dementia NEED and THRIVE on routines- THEIR routines- NOT ours. The “Being in Their World” presentation will explore the importance of providing a Person Centered world that supports our loved ones routines, their interests, and the things that make them special. Light refreshments will be served.
