Amanda Buhl

Amanda has worked in the healthcare field for 14 years. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, and is also certified in CMS Hand in Hand training, is a Best Friends Approach Ambassador and currently working on her certification to become a Licensed Administrator in the state of Michigan. Amanda enjoys playing volleyball and spending quality time with her son Trey.

Annie Cordell

Annie has many years of experience in skilled nursing and dementia care and is a Teepa Snow fanatic. She is an LPN and learned from an early age that compassion and quality of life are what’s most important. In caring for her grandmother who lived with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, she found her passion for caregiving and gained the perspective that in health care, especially long-term care, we are an extension of our Residents. By nurturing a mentality of empathy among her staff, her team provides better quality care.

Corie Shireman

Corie has over 20 years in the healthcare field with most of those years focused on memory care. Starting as a CNA, she became a Pharmacy Technician, a Marketing Associate, and then a Life Enrichment Director. She has always focused on resident quality of life and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. She is utilizing her long and varied experience to help families understand the benefits of life at North Woods Village.

Teresa DeYoung

Teresa has many years of healthcare experience in different capacities. She most recently worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and now applies her vast skill set to enrich the lives of our residents. Teresa loves dogs and has both Great Danes and German Shorthaired Pointers.

Director of Dining Services

Dave Carroll

Dave has over 30 years of varied experience in the food service industry spanning from quick service to fine dining. He received three years of classical French cooking training as Sous Chef at Oakley’s Restaurant working under four classically trained Chefs. Dave began serving seniors’ meals 14 years ago, believing strongly in utilizing “from scratch” cooking methods to provide nutritious and delicious meals for seniors.

Business Office Assistant

Patti Winters

Patti brings over 12 years of experience in business office management to North Woods Village and has worked in both financial analysis and marketing. She enjoys road trips with her daughter and taking vacations with both of her children. She is an avid photographer, writer, and crafter and on most days has multiple projects all going at once.
