Executive Director
Amanda Buhl
Amanda has worked in the healthcare field for 14 years. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, and is also certified in CMS Hand in Hand training, is a Best Friends Approach Ambassador and currently working on her certification to become a Licensed Administrator in the state of Michigan. Amanda enjoys playing volleyball and spending quality time with her son Trey.

Director of Nursing
Tawney Burnett
During her 40 years as a nurse, Tawney has focused on coaching nursing staff to reach their highest potential and driving quality improvements to nursing care. She believes that quality improvement generates high-quality patient care. Improvements to care are best initiated and ensured by performing rounds to observe nursing staff and speaking directly with patients and their families to gather feedback on residents' quality of life here at North Woods Village.

Community Relations Director
Corie Shireman
Corie has over 20 years in the healthcare field with most of those years focused on memory care. Starting as a CNA, she became a Pharmacy Technician, a Marketing Associate, and then a Life Enrichment Director. She has always focused on resident quality of life and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. She is utilizing her long and varied experience to help families understand the benefits of life at North Woods Village.

Life Enrichment Director
Chelci Gettys
Born and raised in Vicksburg, MI, Chelci moved to Colorado in 2016. After working in an independent bookstore in Denver, she decided to make a big career change and became a life enrichment assistant. After a few inspiring years in life enrichment, she became the memory care coordinator at an assisted living in Denver, CO. Chelci has been working in life enrichment for about 4 years and it's one of her biggest passions. Chelci recently said, "I'm excited to continue my career in life enrichment. Bringing joy, sharing smiles, and spreading happiness to our residents through engaging activities is what I love to do."

Director of Dining Services
Dave Carroll
Dave has over 30 years of varied experience in the food service industry spanning from quick service to fine dining. He received three years of classical French cooking training as Sous Chef at Oakley’s Restaurant working under four classically trained Chefs. Dave began serving seniors’ meals 14 years ago, believing strongly in utilizing “from scratch” cooking methods to provide nutritious and delicious meals for seniors.

Director of Operations
Ammad A. Rasool
Ammad grew up in Baghdad, Iraq, and was a Civil Contractor for the U.S. Marine Corps of Engineers and later worked for the Army Corp of Engineers. After years of inspiring, creative, and dangerous work furnishing a Marine base located on the Syria/Iraq border, Ammad and his family immigrated to the United States.
Ammad received his Associate Aircraft Mechanical Engineering degree in 1991 and currently lives in Kalamazoo with his wife, two daughters, and his son.
