Requirements:
Concern for, appreciation and understanding of the aging person. Desire to work with older adults. Friendly, caring disposition. Ability to communicate with a variety of persons including staff, residents, physicians, and families. Must possess Michigan state certification to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) Experience in a dementia care environment is preferred.

We are looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals according to menu. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important. The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
  • Cook food in various utensils or grillers
  • Check food while cooking to stir or turn
  • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Check quality of ingredients
  • Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages

Skills

  • Proven experience as cook
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Very good communication skills
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage

Our Nurses provide high quality, holistic nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards and health care regulations which govern the practice of professional nursing. Nurses also lead licensed and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct resident care and support functions and report to the Director of Health & Wellness to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all time.

Requirements:
Must possess a current and active license to practice as an LPN or RN in Michigan. Minimum of one year experience in assisted living industry or health care. Dementia care experience preferred.

Assists in planning, developing, organizing and implementing the activity programs to encourage resident socialization, improve daily living skills, expand personal interests and increase the physical, intellectual, emotional and psychological well-being of the residents.

Acts as a leader for scheduled activities with residents.

Assists with coordinating the transporting residents to scheduled community-sponsored activities.

Performs other duties as needed or as assigned.
