Nationally Recognized for Memory Care Excellence
North Woods Village at Edison Lakes has been awarded two prestigious, nationally recognized awards for 2020. The Caring Super Star of 2020 and the Senior Advisor’s Best of Senior Living award.
North Woods Village was named a “Caring Super Star of 2020” for earning the Caring Star award in 2020 and three additional years since 2014. There are currently only 59 Caring Super Stars nationwide and only 2 in the State of Indiana.
Additionally, North Woods Village at Edison Lakes was named as one of SeniorAdvisor.com’s Best of Senior Living 2020 Awards recipients. The Best of Senior Living Awards recognize senior living and home care providers who receive consistently high ratings and positive reviews from residents, families and visitors. This exclusive designation is awarded to less than 1 percent of providers nationwide.
The annual SeniorAdvisor.com Best of Senior Living Awards tabulates over 240,000 family created reviews to find the highest quality care providers for this honor. Of the nearly 45,000 communities currently listed on Senior Advisor.com, just over 610 were recognized with this prestigious award.
To qualify for inclusion in the Best of 2020 awards, providers must have maintained an average overall rating of at least 4.5 stars based on five or more new reviews between November 17, 2018 and October 18, 2019.
North Woods Village was the first memory care community in the area purposefully designed and built to serve individuals with memory impairment in an assisted living environment. Aside from the unique physical attributes of the North Woods building, each staff member receives extensive initial and ongoing specialized training in Dementia and Alzheimer’s care. North Woods Village’s management staff has experience in memory, mental health and long-term care. Among this experienced staff, there is a nationally recognized Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer and two Certified Virtual Dementia Tour Facilitators, a Certified Senior Living Advisor, a Certified Memory Care Professional, a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional.
Those with memory impairment have very unique and specialized needs. They require and deserve an exceptional level of care.
